Fashion means innovation...
Fashion is an expression of creativity...
It could be mixing different styles, creating new trends or simply revising what already exists.
One of the innovatives news came from the last world fashion weeks, it is 3D printing.
It is used to make fashionable object, not only accessories but fully functioning dress. Shapeways reach this result through additive-manufacturing.
Designed by Nervous System Studios and created in Shapeways 3D printing factory, a completely wearable dress has been printed in one single folded piece.

Shapeways is a new Company which allow young designers, or anyone, to buy 3D object or upload designs even if without any experience in 3D modeling. They offer a bunch of tools everyone can use to turn ideas into reality. So a fashion designer who wants to incorporate 3D printing into its designs could upload the design and print it using this service.

Two designers from Nervous System did it.
Designers Jessica Rosenkrantz and Jesse Louis-Rosenberg created a dress made of thousands of panels connected by hinge joints and fluidly folds and conforms to the body as it is worn.
Both the dress and software have been acquired by the Museum of Modern Art for their permanent collection.
What do you think about this new way to create fashion?
